July 05, 2003The ReunionI have spent the last two days meeting Joe's extended family. I did pretty well remembering people's names (except when they changed clothes). Everyone was very nice and I enjoyed meeting them. Spending these two and a half days with Joe's family has really helped me feel more like a part of his family. Hi Carolyn and Ken, Yes, we made it to games in both Des Moines and Omaha. We will also go to a couple games in Denver this Wednesday and Thursday. Joe and I both got sunburns at the IA Cubs game on Sunday. We sat right in the sun for the first few innings before we moved into a more shaded area. We heard that the Des Moines area got some 3" inch hail today. It sounds like we left just in time! As we were driving through the city yesterday and this morning we kept noticing things that we wish we would have had more time to see and do. It looks like a great city.
