Iowa

Iowa is a beautiful place. The corn is planted everywhere--if there are trees in the middle of the field, the corn is just planted right around it.

I saw my first Amish people today. Two young men were sitting in a black buggy selling baskets on the side of the road in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. They were both wore dark blue button-down shirts and straw hats. I cannot imagine how hot they must have been in those clothes during this hot and humid day.
